About me
I am Alexandra Iglesias (Barcelona/Jávea 1999), film director, and I have turned my dream into my profession; my life project being to grow in the field of film directing.
Since I was a child, I have been passionate about stories, and with cinema I have found my own way to make them come to life. I feel that audiovisual language is my way of expression, my way of communicating with others and with myself; my way of learning and discovering what the world has to offer me.
Before my university education I had the opportunity to study at the New York Film Academy in Florence (2015); and later at the Jugendfilm Camp (2016), Germany.
In 2017 I entered ESCAC (Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia) graduating in 2021 with a degree in film direction, school where I also made my first short films and other audiovisual projects. You can find some of them in the works section, where you will also find that I have experience as assistant director, script and editor.
At a professional level I also have experience in the field of commercial production, having worked on projects for Mercedes, Ferrero Rocher, Maui Jim, The Knot, Unicef, Benetton, Bershka, Sol and Travel Chase.
